2024 Editing Packages
All editing packages will include the incorporation of audio captured from the wedding day and will be set to a single licensed music track approved or provided by the filmmaker (additional music tracks can be added as an add-on).
The editing packages include a basic color correction pass. More intricate coloring notes may be subject to an additional fee.
*Some additional fees may apply.
*The length of each film may vary slightly but will be at least the length of the package requested.

Add Ons
Additional Songs Within Edit
The starter packages incorporate one song into the highlight film. Sections of the song will be looped to cover the entirety of the film.
Additional tracks can be incorporated for $25 per additional song.

The Process
1. Agreement
We would work out an agreement on what you are wanting and the timeframe we would be working in. I would draft up a contract and send it to you for an electronic signature. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required at the signing of the contract.
2. Footage Delivery
You would send me your footage as well as any other logos, music, or digital assets I would need for the edit. You would mail me a hard drive or SSD (must be compatible with Macs).
3. Editing Style
The first time I work with you I will request a few of your favorite films that you have made (2-3). This gives me a feel for your pacing and how you edit. I will create your edits incorporating your style and pacing.
4. Review
Once I have completed the edit, I will send you a review link that will allow you to mark sections of the video and add final notes and revisions (i.e. "can we hold on this shot for longer" or "can we make this title font a bit smaller?"). One review link and one session of notes will be incorporated into the package. Additional notes and edits may be subject to a fee.
5. Payment
Payments will be made to me through an online payment portal that I will provide. Some electronic transaction fees may be applied to the final payment. If you are interested in discussing a different method of payment, please let me know before the signing of the contract.
6. Delivery of Project File
Once I incorporate the final revisions final payment is due. Once the payment is received, I will send you the project file so that you can create final exports from it. I will mail back the drive that you sent to me.
FAQs
What software do you use to edit?
I can edit your film on DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premiere.
Do you do offer color correction services?
I do a basic color correction pass on the film. However, more intricate color correction may be subject to an additional fee.
How long does it take to get my film completed?
Typically the films will be turned around 4-6 weeks after getting the footage in its entirety in my possession. However, this is subject to change depending on how many projects I am currently working on.
Do you edit just ceremony films or reception speeches?
At this time my main focus is wedding highlight films. However, if you are interested in getting these edited rather than a highlight film, email me at hello@storiesbytommy.com. We can discuss some options.
How many songs are included in an edit?
My packages include one licensed song. Sections of the song will be looped to cover the entirety of the film. Additional songs can be included in the edit for $25 per additional song.
Please provide a song(s) of your choice with your footage delivery.
Two tracks of the same song, one with vocals and one instrumental, will be treated as one song.
